What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Litigation Paralegal position at Arias Bosinger?
We are looking for a knowledgeable and friendly paralegal with litigation experience of at least three years. HOA and Condo law is a plus, but not required. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with others in a fast-paced environment and has great organizational and follow-up skills. Experience with drafting pleadings, court procedures, e-filing, hearing setting and drafting of pleadings is also required. Spanish speaking is a plus, but not required. Responsibilities:
- Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents
- Calculate amounts due from Owner
- Review governing documents of community association to determine owner violations
- Conduct research to support legal proceedings
- Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes
- Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Record and store client information
- E-file pleadings and handle lawsuit through completion
- Coordinate hearings, mediations and communicate with debtors, judicial assistants, and opposing counsel
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paralegal
- Familiarity with legal research and court system
- Hearing and mediation scheduling
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
