Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

Salary Base: $33036.00- 39560.00

Signing Bonus: $1,000.00

Special Education Teacher

The responsibility of this position is to develop students’ skills and competence in one or more fields of education. Develops students’ skills and abilities in all aspects of education and problem solving.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

Teaches knowledge and skills in multi-tiered systems of support. Special Education individual learning needs. Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conductive to individualized and small group instruction. Develops lesson plans and instructional materials for subject area and translates them into learning experiences, challenge students and utilize time for instruction. Maintains familiarity with district and Colorado State standardized tests for the purpose of adapting curriculum to maximize student achievement on such tests. Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops or professional meetings. Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievement and attendance as required by district procedures and applicable laws.

Provide quality, accurate, constructive, corrective, specific and timely feedback to students that encourages them to perform at their highest level.Effectively communicate with all stakeholders about student progress in an appropriate manner.
