JOB DESCRIPTION
MyCity requires a Senior Project Manager who will work closely with multiple MyCity delivery teams, MyCity Product Management, and the MyCity Master Scheduler to develop project plans and monitor performance within projects and across the program. The Senior Project Manager will work with project teams to propose and define scope for sprints and Program Increments, identify dependencies, and work with the Master Scheduler to incorporate these into the Integrated Master Schedule. In addition, the Sr Project Manager will identify and manage risks, issues, action items, and document decisions in the program-wide RAID log.
RESPONSBILITIES:
· Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex applications, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and other stakeholders, to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables.
· Develop project plans, including work breakdown structures, dependencies, and overall work plans for project delivery in collaboration with business, technical, and project stakeholders. Collaborate with Program Management to identify cross program interdependencies impacting the project.
· Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and blockers that may impact project success, and proactively develop mitigation strategies. Maintain a Risk, Action, Issue and Decision (RAID) log, and ensure the project team and external owners for items are progressing through their action items. Manage open items to closure.
· Drive effective communication and collaboration among team members, stakeholders, and senior leadership, providing regular project updates and status reports, including presentations.
· Foster a culture of continuous improvement, implementing best practices, processes, and tools to optimize project management and delivery.
· Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and security requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered
· A minimum 8 years of experience in software development
· At least 8 years of experience in either a Project or Program Management role or a combination of the roles.
· At least 4 years of experience leading projects through Agile methodologies, operating in a Scrum Master role, when necessary, to decompose high-level project requirements into actionable Features, Epics, and Stories for delivery by the project team.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
· A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, product management/design or related field
· Extensive experience leading solution delivery teams in a matrixed environment with aggressive delivery goals, inclusive of strong scope, schedule, budget, vendor, risk/issue, and project planning and management. Proven facilitation and problem management
· Experience using Azure DevOps, JIRA or other Agile tools strongly desired.
· Strong grasp or quick learner of web-based, mobile, and mobile responsive application software development technologies
· Experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager with strong focus and prioritization of end-user needs, user experience, and business delivery value.
· Ability to communicate to and create clear presentations for executives and business stakeholders.
· PMP, Agile or Scrum, or Product Management certification(s) (i.e. PMI ACP, Scrum Alliance SCP) strongly desired.
