Ensures the repairs of company products are at the highest quality and the lowest possible cost, meeting the company performance standards and customers’ specifications and delivery requirements. In addition, assist the team with inspecting and repairing equipment. Support the Engineering and Customer Service teams by providing quality work and suggestions to reduce/eliminate any problems causing repeat equipment failures.

Job Requirements

- Utilize EPICOR system to accurately ensure data and transactional integrity.
- Repair ARIES products:
- Must be able to assemble/disassemble electro-mechanical devices.
- Must be able to diagnose/troubleshoot electro-mechanical devices.
- Inspect parts for defects.
- Test and adjust electronic equipment to ensure they are in optimal working order.
- Maintain knowledge of current product and equipment to assist with troubleshooting issues.
- Provide solutions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities related to products, processes, or quality.
- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, Aries customer service department, engineering, shipping/receiving, purchasing, and other company personnel to complete and ship repairs in a timely manner.
- Continually evaluate processes and methods: recommend measures to improve processes, equipment, performance, utilization of people, and quality of product.
- Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of tools and equipment to minimize downtime.
- Follow all rules in the ARIES Employee Handbook.
Required Skills:
- Must have good manual dexterity.
- Be able to read and understand blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Must have a good knowledge of basic hand tools and the ability to use them.
- Be able to use small power tools (drills, Dremel, drill press, etc.).
- Be able read and understand DMM.
- Be able to solder.
- Be able to read and communicate in the English language, verbally or in writing.
- Ability to recognize wiring or device components that require repair or replacement and carry out those tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, repair schedules, purchase orders, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Required Experience and Education:
- High School Diploma with 10 years of progressively responsible related experience, or
- Two-years of college and three to five years progressively related experience; OR
- Technical Diploma from a technical or vocational school including instruction in basic electronics, electronics manufacturing, AC/DC circuits, business practices, math, computer science, computer-aided design and English composition, or
- A combination of education and experience listed above.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Electro-mechanical repair background
- Certificate as Certified Technician by ETA (Electronic Technician Association) and/or the International Society of Certified Electronics Technicians (ISCET).
Physical Requirements:
- Required to occasionally lift up to 70 pounds.
- The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, use foot/feet to operate machine, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and reach above shoulders.
- Will regularly talk and listen and move from place to place and will frequently use hands to finger, handle, or touch.
- Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
