How will you make an impact?
This role will develop assays and methodologies for genomic research and diagnostic testing using the Arima Hi-C chemistry. This will involve complex experimental design and DOE for optimization, guardbanding, Stability testing, Repeatability and Reproducibility testing, failure analysis, and Clinical validation. This role will also work with the bioinformatics team to interpret data, Conceive QC metrics and set appropriate spec limits. Additionally, this role will write experimental plans, engineering reports, patents, invention disclosures, user guides, and will be an SME and participate in supporting customers. Some Travel to our Orland, FL facility, Beta testing sites, or conferences will be necessary.
Duties :
- Assay Development of research and diagnostic tools.
- Design and execution of experiments to optimize genomics assays and workflows for target specifications and robustness, conduct edge testing, alpha and beta testing, validation and verification testing, reproducibility and repeatability testing, stability testing, and failure analysis
- Perform statistical analysis of results to aid in interpretation and perform troubleshooting / root cause analyses.
- Lead or significantly contribute to implementing assay QC metrics and setting appropriate thresholds.
- Lead or significantly contribute to writing SOPs, user guides, engineering reports, Patent, Invention Disclosures, ect… as needed.
- Lead or significantly contribute to internal trainings, Customer trainings, webinars, and tech support escalations.
- Contribute to routine QC testing or small scale manufacturing.
- Mentor Junior scientist in PD team and across organization.
- Participate in R&D lab meetings, fostering an environment of intellectual curiosity and critical thinking and collaborate effectively with peers and cross-functional teams across the organization..
- Participate in additional special team or individual projects.
- Occasional Travel to Orlando, FL site, Beta testing sites, customer sites for training, and conferences
