Arion primarily serve the upstream, midstream and downstream oil & gas and energy
industries. We provide engineering, design, procurement, project management and
construction management services from Concept, through FEED and Detail Engineering &
Design, to Completion for onshore and offshore oil & gas and energy industry facilities. Our
services include execution of greenfield and brownfield projects for oil and gas production,
processing, transportation, storage, and refining facilities worldwide.
Description of Responsibilities:
Researches, develops, designs, and tests a variety of equipment, facilities, components,
products, and systems for commercial and industrial purposes.
- Prepares Automation Equipment Specifications, Data Sheets, Purchase Requisitions and Bid evaluations for OT/IT convergence, open process automation, digital twins, edgetocloud integration, asset performance optimization, and traditional automation technologies.
- Conducts technical evaluation, evaluate equipment / material suitability and issue clarification of supplier bids complete technical report to support order placement
- Leads technical discussion, meetings with suppliers and clients
- Works with instrument engineers, process engineers, technologists, designers and others toprovide automation engineering and design deliverables to a variety of projects
- Develops designs that require innovation and ingenuity
- Reviews Vendor Documents
- Responsible for quality control of all deliverables within the scope of the Automation discipline
- Interface with Project Management and Client and liaise with other project disciplines
- Assist in preparation of cost estimates and defining scopes of work for automation systems
- Build internal and external relationships with key suppliers, customers and internal & external service providers or contractors
- Maintain effective communication with project team members and with the customer
- May provide some technical guidance to less experienced design and engineering personnel.
Qualifications
Qualifications / Skills:
- Experience with the engineering and design of onshore and/or offshore oil & gas or energy facilities involving, but not limited to, OT/IT convergence, open process automation, digital twins, edgetocloud integration, asset performance optimization, and traditional automation technologies.
- Experience with working on DCS, SCADA, PLC, HMI, Safety Systems, Fire and Gas, and Networking
- Excellent oral and written communication skills is required
- Work closely with market leaders to understand and implement new technologies, tools, methodologies, and applications.

- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
- Microsoft Project
- Programming experience preferred (C/C , Visual Basic, etc…)
- Honeywell Experion PKS DCS & C200/300 Controllers, Pi Historian
- Yokogawa Centum VP DCS, Prosafe RS SIS, Stardom RTU
- Rockwell Control Logix PLC, Factory Talk and PanelView HMI
- Modicon Unity PLCs
- ControlNet, DeviceNet, Modbus Plus, and Fault Tolerant Ethernet industrial communication networks.
- Bristol Babcock Controlwave Micro RTU and BSAP Communications
Education Level:
- BSc, MSc or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Instrument
- Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science is required
- 5 years of experience
- NCEES P.E. License is preferred
Amount of Travel:
- Some travel to site locations may be required
