We provide engineering, design, procurement, project management and construction management services from Concept, through FEED and Detail Engineering & Design, to Completion for onshore and offshore oil & gas and energy industry facilities. Our services include execution of greenfield and brownfield projects for oil and gas production, processing, transportation, storage, and refining facilities worldwide.
Description of Responsibilities:

Participates in the design of a process unit, including establishing process design basis, development of process options and optimization of selected design.

Has comprehensive understanding of principles, theories, concepts, and industry practices and standards and their application. Responsible for performing all aspects of engineering and design.

Works under minimal supervision, work is reviewed for adequacy on completion.

May provide some technical guidance to less experienced design and engineering personnel.

Perform all process engineering functions including feasibility and optimization studies, process simulations and heat and material balances, process equipment sizing, process data for instrument and mechanical data sheets, hydraulic piping line sizing, relief calculations and flare network modeling and other philosophies and reports.

Supports project management with reporting, scheduling, staff planning and coordination

Checks that engineering calculations and drawings are in accordance with industry codes and standards

Assigns tasks to and supervise the work of less senior process personnel

Initiates regular communication between the process team and all other engineering disciplines to ensure quality of work and that consistent technical content is maintained for all design documents/data throughout the project

Calculates and organizes data for process flow sheets including instrumentation and control considerations

Prepares specifications and operating instructions for processing equipment

Develops process flow diagram to define heat and material balance

Prepares and participates in HAZOP, HAZID and SIL rating studies

Develops suitable process conditions and specifications, e.g. pressure vessels, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, fired heaters and distillation columns,

Directs activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements

Maintains effective communication with project team members and with the customer
Qualifications
Qualifications / Skills:
-
Ability to size equipment, develop PFD's and P&IDs, perform PSV sizing, perform hydraulics, set design conditions and review and check the work of others

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Relevant technical experience

Experience in project management and budget control for capital projects
Software:

Microsoft Office Suite

HYSYS and other relevant process simulation software products

Microsoft Project
Education / Experience Level:
-
BSc, MSc or equivalent in process / chemical engineering or technical field from an accredited college or University
-
10 years of experience with an E&C company performing process design
-
NCEES P.E. License preferred
