Arion Care is seeking dedicated and compassionate on-call Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide habilitation, attendant care, and respite services to members in their homes and/or community in the Phoenix, AZ area.
What You'll Do: As a Direct Support Professional, you'll provide on-call assistance to individuals with disabilities by:
- Offering support in daily living activities (e.g., personal care, meal preparation, household tasks)
- Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid when required and give appropriate attention to injury or illness
- Provide on-call support for unstaffed shift openings on a last minute, as needed basis, to ensure continuity of service to members.
- Travel to member's home. Locations could include all areas Arion serves.
- Work a flexible schedule and be available to work when called.
- Demonstrate respect and promote choice.
Schedule We're Looking to Fill:
- Thursday 1pm-5pm
- Friday 1pm-5pm
- Saturday 10am-3pm
- Sunday 10am-3pm
What We're Looking For:
- Compassionate & Caring Attitude: You're passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others.
- Flexibility & Reliability: Ability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the needs of the members.
- Experience: Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidates!
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with individuals, families, and team members.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to assist with mobility and activities of daily living.
- Reliable Transportation: A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required for community-based services.
