Description
We’re looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented GIS Analyst to join our Land team. This individual will play a key role in managing spatial data, coordinating survey projects, developing mapping solutions and helping drive informed decisions across the business. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who’s excited to take ownership of data, tools, and solutions that support real-world energy infrastructure development.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain enterprise GIS databases with a focus on infrastructure, land, and environmental datasets.
- Develop and update high-quality maps, web applications, and spatial analysis tools for internal stakeholders.
- Support engineering, operations, and commercial teams with spatial data insights and customized mapping solutions
- Manage third-party surveying activity for pipeline projects, water handling facilities, and water recycling facilities
- Integrate GIS with other platforms (e.g., SCADA, CAD, asset management systems, and QuorumLand)
- Conduct geospatial analysis to support routing, siting, permitting, and regulatory compliance
- Lead GIS data QA/QC efforts and ensure accuracy and consistency across all projects
- Stay current with GIS trends, tools, and best practices, especially within the oil & gas and water midstream sectors
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field required. (Master’s or GISP certification is preferred)
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional GIS experience, ideally in the oil & gas, energy, or environmental industries
- Strong command of Esri products (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Enterprise, Field Maps, etc.)
- Experience working with spatial data related to pipeline systems, water infrastructure, and land records
- Experience working with Quorum QGIS and myQuorum Land
- Having familiarity with the Permian Basin region (Texas & New Mexico) and associated regulatory environments is a big plus
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Experience collaborating on PowerPoint presentations updating development plans, business development opportunities and market conditions for tangible costs.
- Strong pivot table skills to analyze costs, data sets and volumes.
