Aris is looking for a motivated and resourceful Landman to support our field operations by securing the surface rights necessary for exploration, production, and midstream pipeline projects in the designated area. This role offers a broad range of responsibilities, including title research and curative work, negotiating pipeline easements and surface site agreements, acquiring leases and property access, securing water rights, and facilitating fee property purchases. The position also involves surface damage assessments and negotiations.
This role will report directly to the SVP, Land & Regulatory.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Acquisition of all surface rights to support field operations and midstream pipeline activities in the Permian Basin
- Frequent interaction and coordination with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), State Land Office (SLO), and private landowners as required to support project requirements.
- Develop and maintain excellent landowner and key stakeholder relationships.
- Negotiate fee purchase, surface leases, water rights, access agreements, surface damage agreement in support of Aris’s midstream infrastructure activities.
- Assist with preparations for interface with regulatory agencies.
- Assist with project management, document management and coordinating projects with the appropriate field construction/operations personnel, land, legal, EHS, regulatory, engineering and management staff.
- Keeps abreast of regulatory provisions, trending practices, and land values in order to add value and maintain compliance with contractual requirements and obligations.
- Reviews and makes recommendations regarding property and asset divestitures and acquisitions.
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Land or Energy Management, Business, Law or other relevant degree required
- Minimum two (2) years of industry experience in land or related field
- Experience working within Land systems and applications such as: CLSLiNK, myQuorum Land, Drilling Info
- Understanding of title reports and pipeline surveys
- Demonstrate advanced project management, and analytical skills
- Proficient across all Microsoft applications
- Skilled at connecting with others and fostering positive, collaborative relationships across teams and departments
- Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated
- Must be eager to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
