What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Agent position at Arising Industries, Inc.?
Responsibilities:
- Source and purchase material to support the Company's production of enclosed cargo trailers
- Conduct daily/weekly cycle counts and keep internal inventory control systems & reports updated
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with production personnel to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.
- Collaborate with various departments to support production planning and inventory control efforts.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies in supply chain management.
- Support other production / administrative functions as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration/management, accounting, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field OR significant experience and demonstrated success in lieu of education requirement.
- Proven experience as a purchasing agent or in a similar procurement role.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures.
- Proficient in supplier relationship management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This is an employment-at-will, hourly (or salary) paid position (commensurate with experience).

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
