Lab Technician

This role will be responsible for providing critical support to engineering projects by configuring software and hardware systems, troubleshooting equipment, drafting and reviewing technical documentation and performing routine maintenance on laboratory equipment. The position demands a blend of technical expertise, hands-on skills, and strong communication abilities. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with both the quality and engineering teams to assist in the configuration, testing, and optimization of hardware and software systems.

What You'll Do

• Works with the Systems development team to set up various configurations for software and hardware testing.
• Responsible for slot machine setup, maintenance, and testing.
• Responsible for ordering parts, controlling inventory, shipping, and receiving for the Development Lab.
• Responsible for updating and maintaining all lab computers in accordance with Aristocrat IT policies.
• Responsible for creating, reviewing, and modifying technical notes and service bulletins.
• Responsible for testing and using diagnostic equipment such as an Oscilloscope, configuration applications, and protocol analyzer equipment.
• Occasional travel for support of the OASIS system at customer sites or jurisdictional testing facilities.
• Interact with various stakeholders from across the business, attend meetings
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Associate’s degree in engineering, electronics, mechanical systems, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience
• Proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware (e.g., desktops, laptops, servers, networking equipment) and software (e.g., operating systems, productivity software, custom applications).
• Familiarity with networking protocols, IP configuration, routers, switches, and basic network troubleshooting. Knowledge of Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN, VPN setups, and security is also useful.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, laboratory equipment, and testing methodologies.

Pay Range

$71,425 - $132,646 per year

Our goal is to pay a market competitive salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges. However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education, skills, work location, and internal pay equity.
