Search Heights is working with a Fortune 150 home builder to hire an Associate Legal Counsel for our client's Las Vegas division. Our client builds an average of 1,600 homes per year and is in need of additional counsel to support division counsel in legal matters, primarily focusing on land acquisition contracts and related issues. Please apply and let's talk!Key Responsibilities : Handle land acquisition, use, entitlement, zoning, and development matters : Review and draft contracts, title documents, and land development papersLiaise with title companies, municipalities, and special districtsManage closings and coordinate with outside counselOversee homebuyer contracts and homeowner association matters : Ensure RESPA, FHA / VA complianceReview and revise HOA documentsCoordinate with outside counselProvide relevant documents and informationAttend hearings and settlement conferencesSupport Human Resources : Advise on employment policies, practices, and issuesAssist with safety programs and OSHA complianceHandle subcontractor contracts and disputesProvide legal advice on construction and warranty issuesReview marketing contracts and programsQualifications : Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) or equivalent3-5 years of relevant experienceLicensed attorney in good standing with state bar association(s)Proficiency in MS Office and emailStrong analytical and communication skillsAbility to travel overnight as neededThis position requires regular attendance and commitment to professional and ethical conduct to serve customers and contribute to the company's success.Search Heights and our clients are equal opportunity employers.
