Position Overview:
Arixa’s Jr. Systems Engineer will play a critical role in the company’s IT department. This role involves using strong trouble shooting and analytical skills and the ability prioritize multiple tasks.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
While not an all-inclusive list of responsibilities, the Jr. Systems Engineer role will:
- Provide a reliable and stable infrastructure via best practices, standards, simplified support models, automated processes, operational excellence, and outstanding customer satisfaction.
- Support the Cloud Network topology, including troubleshooting incidents promptly, handling network changes, and participating in problem management processes including root cause analysis, and configuration management.
- Provide support to users on all applications, including Microsoft Office, RingCentral, web tools, and any other software via various communication channels, including phone, email, chat, or in-person.
- Manage computer software and hardware inventory, including maintenance and upgrades as well as replacement, when necessary.
- Administer all user accounts and groups on all systems. This includes setting up new users, processing changes to user accounts, and terminating accounts upon employee separation.
- Work with vendors to procure necessary equipment, services, and software.
- At times, train staff on how to use applications.
Background, Experiences & Qualifications
- Three years of experience of Microsoft Windows support (10/11 Server 2012/2019).
- Experience in the finance industry is a plus.
- Extensive networking knowledge including, but not limited to, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, WAPs, switching, routing.
- Proven experience working in a helpdesk or technical support role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software applications, operating systems, and network troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with cloud technologies including O365 migrations, consolidation of multi-tenants, TEAMS migration, and O365 security; Azure IaaS, migrations on on-premise servers, networking, and workstations; and Intune (mobile device management), inventory and device control, and patching.
- Nice to have: Microsoft defender, Microsoft Purview experience, RingCentral.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Customer-focused attitude and strong commitment to delivering high-quality support.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced troubleshooting capabilities.
- Network and CCNA certification preferred.
- Microsoft certification preferred.
Compensation
This position is fully on-site, Monday-Friday, in our Los Angeles office. It is classified as regular, full-time exempt, with Salary Range: $85,000-100,000 plus discretionary bonus potential.
