Instruction and Alignment Coach - Phoenix Early Learning Center Campus (KG to 3rd Grades)

Arizonas first and only autism-focused charter school is expanding and seeking a highly-skilled Instruction and Alignment Coach to oversee the curriculum and instruction in our severe and profound classrooms.
Under the supervision and direction of the Campus Director; the Instruction and Alignment Coach will support and train instructional staff and classroom Behavior Staff in the implementation of Arizona Autism Charter Schools (AZACS) adopted curriculum and best practices of instruction in the AZACS Structured Classroom Model.
Candidates must be experienced in the correct design, implementation, and oversight of research-based educational strategies for students with disabilities, and ABA teaching strategies, and have significant experience conducting these activities within school settings. The candidate must demonstrate excellent leadership skills and the ability to train, coach and motivate instructional staff in the classroom. The Instruction and Alignment Coach will work hand-in-hand with a school leadership to promote a positive school culture that focuses on implementing a best practices education model to achieve optimal results for students on the autism spectrum.
Duties :
- Manage educational programming
- Coach and mentor the classroom teachers in a structured classroom
- Maintains knowledge of special education teaching methods, research, and best practices through professional development and study.
- Oversight of AZACS-adopted curriculum, instruction, and assessment
- Oversight of staff creating a safe learning environment
- Oversight of accommodations and modification to the adopted curriculum
- Curriculum development
- Professional development for classroom teachers and instructional lead teachers with the planning and implementation of all adopted curriculum
- Conduct observations at a frequency determined by a team member's tiering level and provide coaching to instructional staff
- Analyze curriculum data bi-weekly to make instructional decisions
- Training and oversight of structured teaching planning, organizing, and implementing
- Staff communication / feedback
- Collaboration with ABA Managers for behavior and / or data analysis
- Participate in all duties and responsibilities as appropriate for an AZACS faculty member
- Collect, analyze, and report data in a meaningful manner
- Celebrates the achievements and successes of students.
- Assisting with onboarding / training of new teachers.
- Conduct weekly lesson plan checks to ensure they are completed before instruction and provide feedback regarding the content of plans to ensure they are aligned with AZACS board-adopted curriculum and state standards.
