Arizonas first and only autism-focused charter school is seeking an Occupational Therapist, (OT) to assess, diagnose, treat, and help students with sensory processing disorders, fine motor delay, and visual perception concerns in the new state-of-the-art autism center.
Under the supervision and direction of both Campus and Charter Leadership, the Occupational Therapist; responsibilities include:
Assessment and Implement student's occupational therapy needs
All record-keeping related to each student assigned to the therapist
Supervision of COTA staff
Engage in data-driven instruction
Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies
Duties:
Assess students to identify eligibility and IEP needs
Supervise, mentor, and support COTA
Train COTAs and classroom staff to implement goals identified on student IEPs related to:
fine motor skills
life skills/training
psychosocial adaptations
sensory processing/adaptations
visual motor skills
Follow school-wide systems, rules, and positive behavior interventions
Support the delivery of services in a classroom integration model
Communicate effectively and proactively with students and families
Responsible for paperwork compliance with data collections relating to IEP goals and Student Digital Portfolios
Maintain timely and accurate Medicaid Billing
Accountability for growth and proficiency in IEP goals
Participate in annual and ongoing staff training
Write OT goals and progress monitoring data for students' IEPs
Attend IEP/MET meetings for students with OT services

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience delivering services in a school setting in a classroom integration model is preferred
Ability to approach situations with optimism and perseverance
Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
Minimum of two years OT experience in a school setting preferred
Experience And Training In Applied Behavior Analysis(ABA) Preferred
Valid Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card
Required:
Arizona IVP Fingerprint clearance card
Bachelor's, Masters Degree or higher
Certified OTR in the state of Arizona
ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Positions in this class require: stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
Light Work:
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
Working Conditions:
Work is routinely performed in an indoor classroom environment.
