What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Outreach & Office Coordinator position at Arizona Bleeding Disorders?
Position Summary: Arizona Bleeding Disorders is seeking a Community Outreach & Office Coordinator to help us in our mission to improve the wellbeing of the bleeding disorder community across Arizona. This part time position will work in close contact with our community members and AZBD staff to provide vital social services, foster community engagement, and assist in office matters such as bookkeeping, office management, and conferences. The position will be part time until July 1, 2025 with the opportunity to move to full time basis after that.
Responsibilities
Community Outreach
· Work closely with the community members and their needs
· Assist with recruiting the community members to participate in AZBD events
· Be a staff liaison at AZBD sponsored community events
Case Management
· Collaborate with Member Services and Operations Manager to assist the community members and their families in accessing available resources by serving as liaison and/or advocate for the patient and family This may include services such as, but not limited to; daycare, employment, educational services, counseling, waivers, and assistance with the various needs of daily living (e.g. food, clothing, utilities, transportation, rent, etc.), and other hemophilia-related assistance funding
· Work with Member Services and Operations Manager to assist the members in completing any related CCS, Medicaid, Medicare, disability, social security applications
· Work with Member Services and Operations Manager to assist in AZBD’s Emergency Financial Assistance (EFA) Program including intake calls, processing applications, and working with ED to approve funding
Office Management
- Write donation thank you letters
- Assist the Finance Manager with filing
- Manage all office supply and maintenance needs
- Run office errands for lunches, gift cards, or other member needs
Conference & Event Management
- Manage printed materials for conferences, such as name tags, agendas, flyers, evaluations, etc.
- Manage materials needs for Conference such as ordering supplies and packing for the event
Qualifications/Required Skills:
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in non-profit or a related field
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Fluency: Fluency in Spanish is a plus
Job Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Considerable knowledge of:
· Microsoft Word, Publisher, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe
Skilled in:
· Communicating effectively with community members in order to building strong relationships
· Writing clear, legible, accurate, and concise reports
· Collaborating with diverse populations
· Superior customer service
Ability to:
- Positively influence stakeholders and medical staff/providers to take action on behalf of community members
- Adhere to strict confidentiality policies
- Work under pressure to meet deadlines

Working Conditions:
- General office environment. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing or walking for up to 25% of the time
- The position requires mobility Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 10lbs on a regular basis and up to 25lbs on an occasional basis
- May be requested to work overtime, weekends, and overnight stays for l program events, which may be inside or outside
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to travel within the state of Arizona for events and work some nights and weekends. May involve some overnight travel for out-of-state conferences
- The position is based in the Phoenix office
- Must have valid AZ Driver License, insurance, and vehicle with which to travel to home visits
Work Schedule: This position’s work schedule will be PT (9:00 – 3:00 M-W-F) and can include some evenings, and weekends, as well as in-state travel.
