Position Overview
As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the procurement of essential products and materials that support our fulfillment operations. You will ensure that we maintain optimal inventory levels, place timely orders, and guarantee product availability to meet customer demands. Collaborating closely with fulfillment, inventory management, and logistics teams, you will facilitate seamless order processing while managing supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective purchasing practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Place purchase orders for assigned product categories across US LBM divisions and regions.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers and vendors to ensure cost-effective purchasing and timely product availability.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with location leaders to prevent stockouts or overstocking issues.
- Collaborate with location leaders and the fulfillment manager regarding various daily functions related to inventory, invoice discrepancies, delivery information, and product costing.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding adjustments, incorrect materials, and deliveries, and work towards effective resolutions.
- Manage daily communications with US LBM divisions and markets to provide updates related to inventory, shipping information, and tracking of inbound inventory.
