Job Description:
Arizona Cardiovascular Care, LLC is seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiology Ultrasound Tech to join our esteemed cardiology department. As a Cardiology Ultrasound Tech, you will play a vital role in providing diagnostic and therapeutic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures. Your expertise will contribute to the accurate assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with cardiovascular conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms as per physician orders and established protocols.
- Accurately and efficiently operate ultrasound equipment, including adjusting settings and selecting appropriate transducers.
- Record and analyze diagnostic data obtained during procedures, assessing image quality and ensuring accurate interpretation.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and comprehensive diagnostic information.
- Maintain patient records, documenting procedures, results, and observations in accordance with departmental policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Assist in the maintenance and calibration of equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to quality standards.
- Stay updated with advancements in cardiac imaging techniques, attending workshops and conferences to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide exceptional patient care and demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and effective communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through ARDMS or CCI.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiology Echo Tech, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Proficiency in performing echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms.
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Familiarity with various cardiac imaging techniques, including 2D, M-mode, Doppler, and color flow imaging.
- Vascular background preferred, with knowledge and experience in performing vascular studies.
- Excellent understanding of EKG interpretation and basic arrhythmias.
- Ability to accurately analyze and interpret echocardiographic data.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
