Summary:
Assist guests, sell merchandise, and handle cash in the Gift Shop. Monitor and maintain stock levels within the department. Provide outstanding guest service.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Sell Gift Shop merchandise, including pre-packaged food and beverage (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), cashiering accurately and efficiently
- Ensure merchandise stock levels are appropriately maintained and inform supervisor of any stock level irregularities
- Remain knowledgeable at all times of all property features, services, and hours of operation
- Obtain an assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent property data
- Assist guests with any questions, concerns, or complaints
- Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow employees
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 1 year of experience performing same or similar job functions
- Previous cash handling experience
- Previous experience using suggestive up-selling techniques in a retail environment preferred
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations quickly and accurately (add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers)
- Able to efficiently use computers and calculators
- Previous experience working in a team or group environment
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
- Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company
- Verify right to work in the United States
