Summary:
The Lead Host Cashier ensures exceptional guest service by addressing elevated complaints or concerns and overseeing restaurant operations in the manager’s absence. This role assists with seating, maintaining cleanliness, and preparing the outlet for service while adhering to established service standards to create a positive dining experience.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the hiring, training, evaluation, and development of departmental employees
- Act as a liaison, as necessary, between line staff and departmental leadership to ensure leadership is aware of any challenges with job performance, staffing levels, and/or job tasks
- Address any guest concerns by providing guest service recovery
- Monitors staff to ensure outstanding guest service is being provided to guest and handles any guest concerns or complaint
- Inspect tables and stations, ensuring that all set ups meet the department standards. Check throughout meal period. Relay deficiencies to respective personnel and follow up on corrections
- Maintains complete knowledge of POS and manual systems
- Inspect the restaurant to ensure all cleanliness standards are being maintained at all times
- Handles all voided checks in accordance with accounting procedures, assists servers with expediting problem payments and handles all other cashiering issues
- Conduct start of shift meetings with staff to review standards and procedures
- Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, is they apply to the position
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum one year previous experience performing same or similar job duties
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Previous experience exercising sound judgment when dealing with difficult guest situations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in a very high-paced, hectic environment
- Accurate money handling and documentation skills
- Present a professional appearance
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 21 years of age
