Music Teacher Responsibilities:
Our Music Courses focus on basic theory, classical music history, and choral performance. This position would support an already developed and well running music program.
-Building a classroom culture in which students love music;
-Engaging students in the creative process and cultivating their talents, while deepening their knowledge and understanding of basic theory, classical music history and choral performance.
-Collaborating with other ACA Elective Teachers while cultivating a school environment that prioritizes vocal performance
-Building a culture of self-expression, and utilize discourse and critique to press students’ critical thinking about music
Successful candidates should also have the following experiences and characteristics. :
- Experience teaching music and vocals preferred.
- Familiarity with principles of Orff; certification preferred;
- Piano proficiency, knowledge of recorder, basic guitar. Additional instrument proficiency is helpful
- Are passionate about art and learning.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree is required; preferred in music, music education or other related program
· Belief in and alignment with Arizona Charter Academy’s core beliefs and educational philosophy is non-negotiable
·Valid State Certification is helpful but not required, though all candidates must meet criteria to be “highly qualified.” Belief in and alignment with Arizona Charter Academy’s core beliefs and educational philosophy is non-negotiable.

Pay: $47,500.00 - $56,000.00 per year
