Physical Education Paraprofessional
To assist, support, and work closely with teachers, administrators, and other team members in providing physical education and health and wellness education for students.
Essential Duties & Accountabilities
- Works with students to provide physical education electives to students in grade K-8.
- Assists the lead teacher in devising special strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on a sympathetic understanding of individual students, their needs, interests and abilities.
- Assists with the supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods and lunch periods.
- Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of all staff.
- Participates in professional development as assigned.
- Alerts the lead teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student.
- Assists the teacher in maintaining accurate records required by federal, state and District policies.
- Performs other related duties as required by supervisor.

- Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
