Our pharmacy is a limited services pharmacy embedded within a non-profit behavioral clinic that specializes in schizophrenia and BPD.
We are seeking a full-time pharmacy technician with an exceptional level of attention to detail and a deeply rooted passion for customer service.
Arizona Community Pharmacy is focused on providing pharmacy services to patients with very specific and unique needs. We primarily service a patient population with histories of psychiatric disorders and substance abuse. The pharmacy team works closely with nurses and providers to optimize the care of each individual client.
We seek to help our challenging population through professional collaboration, provider consultations, extensive patient counseling, and focusing on the barriers that prevent medication adherence.
Job Activities and Responsibilities:
Billing, processing, and filling.***
Handle rejections and prior authorization requests.
Exceptional knowledge of the software systems used.
Communicate between the clinics and the pharmacy.
Assure needs of the clinics are met at all times.
Ability to handle the front (including urgent requests and immunization entry).
Ability to collect copays.
Ability to apply coupons and grants (when and if appropriate).
Assure that enough medication is in stock for urgent requests.
Prioritize workflow.
Analyze, troubleshoot and meet performance goals.
Report problems and non-compliance to a supervisor.

***Please note: We are looking for pharmacy technicians who have chosen pharmacy as their career path. We are hiring individuals that can provide long term commitment. Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must be a licensed as a pharmacy technician or a pharmacy technician trainee in the State of Arizona with 1-3 years of pharmacy experience that focused on customer service.
**Please note that this is not a retail pharmacy. We are a hybrid.

90 day probationary period to learn tasks associated with the position

Compensation will be based on experience. We are extremely competitive with our pay due to our biweekly bonus system. If you perform well, you are eligible for bonuses. Bonuses are made available every pay period.
Dress code is business casual or scrubs (3 sets provided)
Clear retainers or small studs are preferred for piercings or gauged piercings.
Tattoos are fine unless they are gang related or represent something that may damage the company image. For example, hate symbol tattoos will not be permitted. On the other hand, a UFO and an alien tattoo would be permissible.
