Job Summary
As an experienced Hairstylist with a passion for your industry, this job will be a breeze for you. You will be excited about coming to work each day to assist members and guests with their haircare needs. You will listen to their desires and concerns and use your expertise to advise solutions for their hair. You will use your expertise to ensure that they feel comfortable and relaxed as you provide an outstanding service. You will recommend salon products and services that will benefit each client while ensuring they have an exceptional experience and want to schedule future appointments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a current Arizona State Cosmetology License.
- Maintain a professional relationship with all employees, members and guests.
- Arrive in assigned uniform, well-groomed with a professional appearance.
- Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service.
- Provide consistent professional hair and scalp treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
- Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the spa.
- Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
- Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating and training members/guests in these areas.
- Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.
- Perform prep work and properly clean and restock work area as required.
- Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or guests in the spa that require attention.
- Actively promote the spa, treatments, services and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.
- Handle member/guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
- Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by members/guests ensuring complete satisfaction.
- Possess ability to work without direct supervision.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
- Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa.
- Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
Schedule: Saturday and Monday (10am - 6pm)
Wage: Hourly and commission
Candidate Qualifications
- Licensed hairstylist in the state of Arizona
- Proven salon experience
- Pleasant demeanor
- Reliable and dependable
- Excellent customer service experience
- Able to stand for long periods of time
