This position offers the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures. Additionally, this position requires travel 25-30% of the time within the Arizona region and 10% out of state.
Job Summary :
The Field Tax Collector is responsible for the tax collection of assigned cases for the State of Arizona and participating counties and cities. Assigned tax cases could include Individual Income, Corporate Income, Withholding, and Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT). This role will contact and complete the collection of tax liabilities and delinquencies via phone calls and field visits to residencies, places of employment, and / or business locations and will educate taxpayers while promoting voluntary taxpayer compliance.
Job Requirements :
Education & Experience
- Any combination that meets the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA); typical ways KSAs are obtained may include but are not limited to : a relevant degree from an accredited college or university such as Bachelor's Degree (e.g., B.A.), training, coursework, and work experience relevant to the assignment.
- Minimum one year of collections experience
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience
