The Department of Economic Security, Division of Technology Services is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Business Specialist (IT Vendor Management Analyst II). IT Vendor Management Analyst II provides efficient and cost-effective management services to ensure consistency and transparency in the delivery of vendor products and services. This role proactively manages IT vendor relationships, contracts, performance, and software assets to optimize costs, ensure compliance, and enhance operational efficiency. Resolving vendor-related issues regarding quality, service delivery, markup changes, and contractual obligations. Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors. Additionally, the role is responsible for maintaining an accurate and comprehensive inventory of software assets & cloud resources to ensure proper usage and compliance, tracking license utilization data, and overseeing the audit preparation process.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the department's needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties :
Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- IT Vendor Management (ITVM) : Assist in managing vendor relationships, coordinating vendor communications, and organizing vendor-related meetings and events. Conduct basic reporting and analysis for ITVM management. Assist with negotiations on non-legal items, such as Statements of Work (SOWs), service levels, and pricing.
- Contract Management : Gain familiarity with Statements of Work (SOWs) and IT procurement processes. Assist with contract negotiations by gathering necessary information and coordinating with procurement personnel. Track key contract dates, terms, and potential business impacts, ensuring stakeholders stay informed.
- IT Software Asset Management (SAM) : Assist in tracking the product lifecycle for assigned software assets. Help identify software usage patterns, potential cost savings, and compliance requirements. Support management in evaluating business needs for technical support, upgrades, and asset replacements.
- Vendor Performance : Monitor vendor performance by following established tracking processes. Assist in organizing performance evaluations and gathering vendor performance data. Help identify vendor issues and coordinate corrective actions. Maintain vendor scorecards and assist in developing improvement plans.
- Continuous Improvement : Supports the identification and development of process improvement initiatives. Utilizes metrics and problem-solving discussions to identify process improvement opportunities. Identifies opportunities for development, both personal and within other areas of responsibility as assigned, according to the targets in MAP.

State employees are required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS), the State sponsored retirement contribution plan and the Long-Term Disability (LTD) program after a 27-week waiting period.
