The Department of Economic Security, Office of Inspector General (OIG) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Security Operations Administrator. The Security Operations Administrator assists in the development, revision, enhancement, and implementation of guidelines, protocols, policies and procedures associated with model programs and best practices related to Internal security of DES locations. Recommends and participates in the selection, placement, training, development, and performance management of Security Unit personnel. Conducts special studies as assigned by Department Leadership. Coordinates partnerships between the Unit and external agencies. Receives and evaluates allegations of compromised security that Impacts DES employees and clients and conducts comprehensive evaluations to determine the level of security required.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely within Arizona based upon the department's needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties :
Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Oversees the development, revision, enhancement, and implementation of guidelines, protocols, policies and procedures associated with model programs and best practices related to internal security of DES locations. Conducts special studies as assigned by Department Leadership. Coordinates partnerships between the Unit and external agencies.
- Assists In coordination statewide staffing by prioritizing collection of data, conducting interviews, organizing resources, making recommendations, and ensuring quality control and timely placement of Security Unit Staff. Receives and evaluates allegations of compromised security that impacts DES employees and clients and conducts comprehensive evaluations to determine the level of security required.
- Participates In Inter-agency alliances, work groups, and committees to build external partnerships and combine knowledge and resources. Recommends and participates in the selection, placement, training, development, and performance management of Security Unit personnel.
- Produces high quality written reports, presenting complex technical matters clearly and concisely.
