DES is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Applications Developer (Senior Salesforce Developer). This is team lead position and is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex, scalable solutions on the Salesforce Service Cloud platform by translating business requirements into technical implementations using Apex, Lightning components, and other Salesforce application exchange tools, while also mentoring junior developers and leading technical aspects of projects, often collaborating closely with business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of custom applications.
This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.

Job Duties :
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Write complex Apex classes, triggers, and scheduled jobs to automate business processes and create custom functionality within Salesforce.
- Build user-friendly Lightning web components for a modern Salesforce interface, including custom interactions and data visualization.
- Design efficient Salesforce data structures, including custom objects, fields, and relationships to optimize data storage and retrieval.
- Identify and resolve issues within Salesforce applications, including debugging Apex code and troubleshooting integration problems.
- Utilize Salesforce configuration options like workflows, validation rules, and sharing rules to implement business logic without requiring custom code where possible.
- Mentor junior developers.
- Thoroughly reviewing code written by other developers to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and security protocols.
- Define the overall technical architecture for Salesforce applications, considering scalability, performance, and security best practices.
- Integrate Salesforce with external systems using APIs and connectors to streamline data flow between platforms.
