Job Summary:
This position functions within the Adolescent Health team, under the direct supervision of the Adolescent and Family Health Manager. This position is responsible for managing maternal and child health programming efforts in the Office of Women’s Health (OWH)
including youth mental health programming and reporting, coordination and review of adolescent and women’s health Title V MCH Block Grant reports, maternal health projects, and maintaining up-to-date websites. The OWH strives to improve the health and well-being of pregnant and postpartum individuals, and youth including children and youth
with special healthcare needs. It prioritizes the need to enhance equitable and optimal initiatives to positively impact the emotional, physical, and social well-being of adolescents and implements targeted maternal health initiatives to address maternal mortality and
morbidity in Arizona. The OWH works strategically and collaboratively with programs within the Bureau of Women’s and Children’s Health, and other Bureau’s, as needed.
This position will have a hybrid work schedule. There will be occasional in-office days for bureau-related meetings and/or projects, as needed.
This Position Is Responsible For, But Not Limited To
Provides day-to-day technical assistance to contracted programs. Ensures proper implementation of programming including conducting status meetings and annual site visits. Writes grant applications and reports; writes requests for proposals and evaluates applications. Reviews and approves contractor monthly invoices and coordinates paperwork for the development of purchase orders.
Coordinate and/or participate in committee meetings and project execution. Plan and coordinate professional development trainings and conferences, contractor meetings, and others; deliver oral presentations; coordinate and create effective, visually engaging presentations within ADHS Brand Standards in Google Slide presentations.
Assist with the coordination and review of the Title V MCH Block Grant report and application narratives for the women’s and adolescent health domains, including collection and reporting of data.
Attend staff meetings and professional development conferences; confer with supervisor.
Coordinates and delivers Youth Mental Health First Aid or assists contractors when delivering, as needed and
time allows.

- Managing youth mental health programming efforts, including the Youth Mental Health First Aid initiative and contracts.
- Training and delivery of Youth Mental Health First Aid.
- Coordination, co-facilitation of and participation in the Youth Mental Health Steering Committee and execution of projects.
- Development of mental health peer-to-peer education; and identifying opportunities to leverage other adolescent health programming to integrate mental health.
- Participate in the writing, coordination, and review of the Title V MCH Block Grant report and application narratives for the women’s and adolescent health domains, including collection and reporting of data.
- Assisting the Maternal Health Innovation Program with completion of tasks, as needed.
- Maintaining OWH websites up-to-date and coordinating development of new sites, as needed.
- Developing, updating, and implementing youth mental health program policy and procedures, quality improvement and tracking tools.
- Conducting site visits statewide to manage youth mental health activities and providing technical assistance, as needed.
- Coordinating efforts to develop, foster, and maintain relationships internally and externally with community partners in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.
- Representing the program and ADHS at various internal and external meetings

Retirement
- To help you build a financially secure future, the State makes monthly contributions to finance your retirement benefit. The State will make a contribution to the ASRS in an amount equal to your contribution. In other words, you and the State will each pay 50% of the total cost of the benefit.
