About the Company
To advise, counsel and provide assistance to employees and managers on Benefit and Employment programs, policies and procedures. Would also be responsible for presentation of mandatory and soft skills training programs.
About the Role
BS/BA in Business or Human Resources. One plus years of experience to include: employment, benefit administration, basic employee relations and basic HR communication. Basic understanding of employment laws (state and federal), including FLSA, ADA, FMLA, OFCCP/EEOC, 401(k), COBRA and other employee benefit guidelines. Strong PC and database management skills including experience with word processing, excel spreadsheets, presentation software, email and SAP. General understanding of payroll function. General understanding of labor unions. General understanding of how to effectively resolve conflicts using judgment, tact and diplomacy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal relationship skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality. Demonstrated experience in working in a team environment. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience can be substituted for requirements listed above.
Responsibilities
- Providing support and coaching to employees and managers in the following areas:
- Administering benefit program(s).
- Supporting focus groups.
- Conducting market surveys.
- Interpreting and communicating benefit program(s).
- Resolving issues.
- Supporting annual enrollment process.
- Providing appropriate reports.
- Administering the recruitment and employment process.
- Facilitation and follow through of employment process to include: reviewing and/or preparing the Role Summary, recruiting, contacting applicants, leading interview process, initiating background checks and providing follow-up with Managers.
- Presentation of training programs to include: mandatory and soft skills.
- Delivering Human Resources communication to employees, managers and executives.
- Maintaining effective relationships with external service providers.
- Promoting and maintaining a team environment.
- Manages changes and evidence related to NERC procedures and controls for delegated requirements.
- Manages changes and evidence related to NERC RSAWs including the narrative and evidence of the compliance for delegated requirements.
- Performs primary interviewee functions related to NERC compliance audits for delegated requirements.
