Arizona Generation and Transmission Cooperatives is a member-owned, not-for-profit electric generation and transmission cooperative that works together with its employees to fulfill its joint mission of providing reliable and affordable power to electric cooperatives across the Southwest.
The company owns and operates Apache Generating Station near Cochise, east of Benson, and has a combined gross generating capacity of 605 megawatts. Its transmission system operates and maintains over 620 miles of electric power transmission lines and 26 substations reaching out from the Apache Generating Station across Arizona to the northwestern corner of the state.
