Your expertise in medical terminology and familiarity with electronic health records systems like ATHENA will be essential in ensuring efficient patient management.
Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess patients’ health status.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results, including knowledge of ICD-10coding.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding health management, disease prevention, and family planning.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate inpatient and outpatient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Stay updated on best practices in nursing and healthcare trends.
Requirements
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
- Experience working with children is preferred.
- Proficiency in eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and ICD-9 coding.
- Ability to perform inpatient care effectively.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques is essential for patient safety.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
