Nurse Practitioner Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Interventional Cardiology Practice. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, focusing on both preventive and acute health needs. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to patients of all ages, with a particular emphasis on children. Your expertise in medical terminology and familiarity with electronic health records systems like ATHENA will be essential in ensuring efficient patient management.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess patients’ health status.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results, including knowledge of ICD-10coding.
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding health management, disease prevention, and family planning.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to aseptic techniques.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate inpatient and outpatient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Stay updated on best practices in nursing and healthcare trends.

Requirements

  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of practice.
  • Experience working with children is preferred.
  • Proficiency in eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and ICD-9 coding.
  • Ability to perform inpatient care effectively.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques is essential for patient safety.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • A commitment to providing compassionate care and improving patient outcomes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
