A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides anesthetic care for patients before, during, and after surgery. Their responsibilities include :
Patient assessment : Conducting patient assessments and taking patient histories
Anesthetic preparation : Preparing anesthetic for patients and determining the appropriate type of anesthesia
Anesthetic administration : Administering general, local, spinal, epidural, and nerve block anesthesia
Monitoring : Monitoring patients' vitals and adjusting anesthesia levels during surgery
Pain management : Working with other medical staff to develop pain management plans
Post-operative care : Overseeing the patient's safety as they recover from anesthesia and providing post anesthesia follow-up
Education : Educating patients about their surgery and recovery
L aboratory tests : Performing routine laboratory tests
Collaboration : Collaborating with physicians and other medical staff
Working in rural ambulatory surgery center for general surgery. 1 day a week, occasionally 2 days a week. Willing to schedule our cases around your availability.
