What are the responsibilities and job description for the Swim Lesson Instructor position at Arizona Mobile Swim?
Arizona Mobile Swim provides swim lessons to children and adults. The company was founded in Yuma, AZ and has expanded to other parts of Arizona since 2021.
Most children taking lessons are between the ages of 3 and 7 years of age. However, all participants must be at least 12 months old. Swim lesson instructors arrive at the student's pool of choice (often their home pool or neighborhood pool - generally no public pools).
All swim lessons last for 30 minutes regardless of the number of students. Most lessons are private one on one lessons and some lessons may include a sibling with similar skill level.
Applicants must be able to work independently with limited to no supervision and must have reliable transportation. Customer service skills and timeliness are of great importance. Must be great working with both children and adults.
Hours are flexible. This is a great role for someone looking to supplement their income or who is in town for the summer.
Position start/end dates are flexible. We're currently recruiting for the 2025 summer season, but can also bring someone on board to teach in heated pools during the off season.
Requirements for the position:
- Must have reliable transportation to take you to lesson locations
- Must have swim lesson teaching experience and knowledge of swim strokes and technique, active certifications preferred, but not required
