Responsible for the leadership and integrity of product-related data within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Works’ cross-functionally with Sales, Quality, R&D, Operations, Cost Accounting, Planning, Procurement, Accounts Receivable and Production Control to ensure proper control of all master data for new products. Is responsible for ensuring efficient related processes by ensuring data is captured and organized in a manner conducive to optimal use of AX.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Essential Duties – Order does not necessarily indicate duty importance.
- Follow all company policies and procedures including proposal of new policies and procedures recommended to improve processes.
- Follow and ensure compliance to quality system and cGMP programs.
- Manage the data attributes of all manufactured items within the ERP system. This includes Item Masters, Bill of Materials (BOM’s), and Routes .
- Serve as a change agent to make recommendations for the improvement of data flow within the organization. Work effectively with other teams such as quality, finance, cost accounting, scheduling, customer service, procurement and sales to implement improvements.
- Responsible for ensuring items/ BOMs are available across various business units in ERP. Route information will be required by item, by plant.
- Work closely with the operation and cost accounting teams to set up and maintain routes within the ERP system.
- Manage request for BOM, item master, route changes, customer additions, and vendor additions in a timely and professional manner.
- Owns the process for setting / changing item attributes in the ERP system in response to request for engineering, supply chain and manufacturing, including setting up initial costing for raw materials and packaging components as well as activation.
- Develops and runs Health Checks on a continuous basis of our ERP system to assure accuracy of our ERP data.
- Work to quarterly review all active part numbers and work with Quality to deactivate part numbers that have not been used to maintain ERP data integrity.
- Participate in special projects upon request for data integrity, clean up, streamlining, and analysis.
- Ensure the integrity of ERP master data via audit of all information prior to entry into ERP system.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
