The Corrective Action Program Consultant is responsible for supporting the effectively and efficiently supporting the enterprise Corrective Action Program (CAP). Provides expert consultation to business unit stakeholders, conducts assessments, analyzes data, and performs effectiveness reviews in support of driving operational excellence.
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Engineering, Science Business and five (5) years of applicable Corrective Action Program experience or experience in a related field where comparable skills and knowledge are obtained.
- OR a 2-year technical degree and seven (7) years of applicable CAP or related experience.
- OR high school/GED and nine (9) years of applicable CAP or related experience.
Major Accountabilities
- Provide strategic, proactive CAP consulting services to all levels of leadership to further embed CAP throughout the organization.
- Develop and lead a standardized CAP across the applicable lines of business ensuring continuity and consistency of the program.
- Responsible for the Oversight and Support of the CAP and associated tools across the applicable line(s) of business. Work on special projects as assigned.
- Ensure all Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and associated Corrective Actions (CAs) are on track by working with the responsible organization. Hold business unit personnel accountable.
- Develop and deliver all cause analysis training of line(s) of business, including TapRoot and other advanced analysis tools and techniques.
- Assist in generating CAP reports as needed to monitor the applicable performance indicators, perform trend analysis, and common cause analysis on an enterprise-wide scale. Verify report information, monitor and advise management on performance metrics and other reports as needed.
- Complete root cause analysis for significant events upon Legal request. Active participation in Root Cause Review Boards (RCRB).
- Develop, implement, monitor and audit corrective action resolution processes.
- Train and mentor internal CAP professionals. Participate on industry and work-related organizations and committees, providing a high level of technical expertise and representing the interests of APS.;
- Provide technical support in development of the departmental budget.
- Work with the Human Performance (HP) team to analyze data, identify HP trends and provide guidance on business initiatives to improve human performance.
- Serve as an internal and external advocate and champion for CAP as well as organizational values and culture.
