Summary
The Print Shop Operator operates bindery and small offset press equipment to produce high-quality work within required time frames. Performs cutting, folding, addressing functions, etc. Produces simple single and multi-color small press jobs. Performs pre-press functions for small press. Performs routine maintenance and adjustments on bindery and printing machinery.
Minimum Requirements
This position may require access to and/or use of information subject to control under the Department of Energy's Part 810 Regulations (10 CFR Part 810), the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) (15 CFR Parts 730 through 774), or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) (22 CFR Chapter I, Subchapter M Part 120) (collectively, 'U.S. Export Control Laws'). Therefore, some positions may require applicants to be a U.S. person, which is defined as a U.S. Citizen, a U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), a Political Asylee, or a Refugee under the U.S. Export Control Laws. - Six (6) months of bindery experience.
- Ability to transport materials.
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Operates all bindery equipment.
- Operates small presses.
- Performs basic small press stripping and plate making.
- Performs routine machine maintenance.
- Plans assigned jobs effectively to maximize production and operates equipment efficiently to minimize product costs.
- Performs basic large press operation.
