Palo Verde Legacy Program Engineer Role
Join Arizona Public Service Company as a skilled Mechanical/Chemical/Welding Engineer through our Legacy Program, designed to provide comprehensive training and professional growth opportunities.
This 9-month orientation program combines on-the-job training, technical classroom instruction, and rotations through various departments to equip engineers with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their roles.
Upon completion of the program, engineers will be assigned to a work group within the Palo Verde organization, contributing to the success of our team.
To be eligible, applicants must hold a Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline or a related applied science discipline from an ABET-accredited institution.
Preferred qualifications include a BS or above in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Welding Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, as well as knowledge and ability to apply basic discipline engineering principles, practices, and theories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the analysis and preparation of data, technical reviews, and evaluations to aid decision-making.
- Prepare engineering plans, designs, specifications, cost estimates, and scheduling.
- Interface with customers and other departments to ensure project objectives are understood.
- Provide technical and field support to assigned internal staff and customers.
- Participate in the preparation of business cases and operational plans.
Nuclear Requirements: As a Palo Verde employee, you may be called upon to serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and support refueling or short-notice outages.
