About This Role
The Occupational Health Nurse is responsible for the medical assessment, treatment, case management and health and wellness education of employees through the APS Health Services Clinic.
This role requires consideration of company policies and procedures as well as applicable state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct medical assessments and provide treatment to employees
- Manage cases and provide health and wellness education
- Develop and deliver health and wellness programs
- Maintain medical equipment and supplies
This position may require access to sensitive information subject to control under various regulations.
Licenses and Certifications: Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of residency plus five (5) years nursing experience.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
Certifications: Certified Occupational Health Nurse credential (COHN or COHN-S), Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing (CAOHC), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pulmonary Function Testing, Occupational Hearing Conservation, Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Knowledge: Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, Workers' Compensation and Short Term Disability, Department of Transportation (DOT), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
