JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Client Transporter works under the direction of the Behavioral Health Technician Manager and closely with the Admissions department in scheduling employees to coordinate transportation plans for current clients and potential clients. The Client Transporter is responsible for obeying all transportation safety guidelines and ensuring client safety while assisting them to enter and exit Company vehicles. The Client Transporter coordinates to ensure that all client appointments can be met and works with the nursing department to ensure that accompanying nursing staff members are present when required. The Client Transporter must be familiar with and follow all state traffic rules and regulations. The Client transporter will assist clients in enhancing their recovery and help promote our clients wellness.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Minimum two (2) years of education focused on nursing, psychology, social service, medicine, or related field preferred. Completion of accredited Recovery Support Specialist program; Preferred.
Experience:
Experience in a drug and alcohol treatment programs and psychiatric settings preferred.
Certification:
Valid Arizona State Drivers License with clean driving record, Healthcare Provider CPR, Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card, and Handle with Care with in 90 days of employment. Recovery Support Specialist Certification preferred.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills: MS Office Suite
- Able to work with minimal supervision successfully
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
- Must possess a valid Arizona Drivers License to transport patients/clients and/or staff, or drive facility vehicles.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION:

- Transports patients/clients according to schedule, staying within allotted times.
- Assists patients/clients compassionately in and out of the vehicle if needed.
- Interacts with patients in a warm, professional manner, maintaining positive and professional relationships with patients/clients.
- Notifies the Lead Maintenance Tech of any potential mechanical problems, needed repairs, or any other concerns.
- Maintains an open line of communication with administration regarding needed transportation.
- Maintains a clean driving record.
- Responsible for insuring that all required emergency equipment (i.e., triangles, fire extinguisher, and first aid kit) are available and in good working order.
- Keep vehicle logs accurately and completely.
- Maintains the cleanliness of the exterior and interior of the vehicle(s).
- Ensure that the vehicles gas, oil and other fluids are kept at appropriate levels.
