Facilities Development Management, Office of the University Architect (OUA), seeks an Architect Senior to act on behalf of the University Architect as the owner's Design Manager during the design and construction phases of projects. The primary role of the Architect Senior is to perform professional architectural oversight of the multi-disciplined design professionals during the design and construction phase of projects, including, but not limited to scope, budget and schedule confirmation. This position monitors and reviews construction documents, and other exhibits as required to ensure that University goals, guidelines and contractual requirements are met, and participates in negotiations of construction projects with outside design firms in contractual arrangements. The Architect Senior role implements and tracks the contributions of subject matter experts in the fields of TI Planning, Research Lab Planning, Interior Design, Environmental Graphics, Move Coordination and Landscape Architecture. The Architect Senior will also interact with other internal FDM departments as required for permitting, regulatory approvals including historic preservation and asbestos clearances, and coordination with local jurisdictions as required.
