What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teaching Artist Aide position at Arizona State University?
Department Statement :
ASU Gammage is seeking innovative and creative part-time Teaching Artist Aides to support an afterschool elementary musical theatre program and provide professional development to teachers at Title I schools. The work location for this position is at one elementary school location in the metro Phoenix area and occasional meetings on the Tempe campus.
Disney Musicals in Schools is a free after-school program offered to a limited number of Title I elementary schools. Through the 17-week program. Disney Musicals in Schools Teaching Artists guide school team of teachers through the process of mounting a musical at their school. The goal is to provide the training necessary for teachers and schools to be able to continue a theatre program for years to come. In late February, the DMIS schools perform on the ASU Gammage stage in the Student Share Celebration. Teaching Artists will be employees of ASU Gammage not of the Walt Disney Company.
