What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Representative position at Arizona Steel & Ornamental Supplies?
Arizona Steel is a proud family owned business servicing Southern Arizona since 2000. Our company has become a respected supplier offering an extensive line of steel, quality ornamental iron, and accessories. We have grown substantially over the years to meet our customer needs in products and service. Our focus is to provide the best customer service and quality products.
As a sales associate, you will primarily be taking care of customers and answering phone calls to make orders and/or give pricing. Other duties may include the following:
- Stock and tidy the showroom
- Receive and pack hardware
- Keep tidy and clean working area as needed
As a new hire, you will learn the material Arizona steel carries. Training starts in the front counter on your very fist day. In this training, you will learn sizes of steel, steel "lingo", and many simple computer codes. We will provide you with a mini study guide that you will be able to use on your first few days while taking care of customers. You will have a team right beside you helping you every step of the way. Like mentioned before, employees at Arizona steel strive off teamwork. The material that will be learned include but are not limited to: square tubing, solid tubing, corrugated sheets, steel gauges, metal finishes, nails, gate operators, welding supplies, plasma cut outs and so on.
After training, which ends after 3 months of your start date, their will be an evaluation and depending on how you do, you can earn a raise just after 3 months of being employed with AZ Steel!
