Summary Of Function
The position provides support and serves as the point of contact for the Maker Space users and equipment.
Typical Duties
- Serve Students. Provides daily clerical/administrate support to faculty, staff, and students utilizing the Maker Space.
- Scheduling of equipment use and coordination of equipment training.
- Direct contact with manufacturers for installation, maintenance, and repairs of equipment. May create requisitions and run reports.
- Knowledge of procedures and utilization of warranties for the equipment.
- Respond to inquiries about the Maker Space in person, emails, and other forms of communication.
- Events; request facilities, set up an event, and assist with creating marketing materials.
- Support and participate in strategic planning initiatives and performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent AND Two (2) years of clerical experience
- Arizona Driver’s License or Equivalent
- Non-Exempt
- Part-time
- U p to 19 hours per week
- Work flexible schedule to meet the program, department, and/or institutional needs, which may include Fridays, nights, and/or weekends
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret, apply, and follow college policies and procedures
- Skill in current technologies and word processing, database, presentation, and spreadsheet software, specifically Microsoft Office applications, Windows, college system platforms, software and applications
- Skill and ability to be self-directed and to manage one’s own time
- Skill in performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature
- Ability to complete all departmental and/or institutional mandatory training or development
- Ability to organize, work independently, prioritize, follow multiple projects and tasks through to completion, with close attention to detail
- Ability to contribute to a collaborative team environment
- Ability to provide assistance for diverse populations in a professional and supportive manner
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, in writing, and in a public setting, and to relate to others in a professional manner
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Ability operate relevant equipment required to complete assigned responsibilities for the position

- May lift, carry, push, and/or pull, at times a minimum of 25 pounds
- Occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and/or twist
- May be required to travel to other locations using various modes of private, commercial, or fleet transportation, and as needed to support program, department and institutional needs
