Arizona Youth & Family Services, Inc. (AYFS) is seeking a dedicated full-time or part-time Behavior Coach to join our esteemed nonprofit organization in Phoenix, AZ. This role is perfect for individuals pursuing careers in social work or psychology who are eager to provide impactful services to children and their families.

As a Behavior Coach, you will play a pivotal role in implementing treatment plans that prevent behavioral escalations among children. This involves working directly with children in various environments, including their homes and schools, while closely collaborating with parents and support teams to ensure the achievement of therapeutic goals. Your responsibilities will encompass teaching age-appropriate behavioral interventions, reinforcing their application, and meticulously documenting progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans to mitigate behavior escalation.
• Engage one-on-one with children across different settings.
• Collaborate with parents and multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop and instruct age-appropriate behavioral interventions.
• Document findings and participate in weekly supervision and training sessions.

• Strong understanding of behavioral interventions, such as positive reinforcement and behavior contracts.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, child development, education, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children, adolescents, or families facing behavioral challenges.

Compensation And Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from \(25,000 to \)30,000 per year, commensurate with skills, education, and experience. Benefits include:
