What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician position at ARK ANIMAL HOSPITAL?
Ark Animal Hospital is looking for an addition to its' medical team! We are a locally-owned, non-corporate veterinary hospital in the Kansas City metro area.
We primarily see dogs and cats but have recently started to work with exotics. Those with experience handling exotics are encouraged to apply!
Mentorship: The owner is on site and will work with you on challenging cases every day. We have five full-time veterinarians and six technicians to give you support. We believe our team is an investment and want to see them grow and improve.
Work/Life Balance: Our full-time employees all work 30-40 hours per week and have the option of a 4-day work week. No after-hour emergencies and no on-call. Family and personal time are important to us and for the profession’s sustainability.
Fun Caseload: Advanced diagnostics (digital radiography, ultrasonography, echocardiography, thermography, blood and urine lab machines), treatments (laser, chemotherapy, regenerative medicine), and progressive soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries (including the new CBLO technique for cruciate disease) are all available. We are constantly looking for ways to improve our gold standard medicine and enjoy getting to work up the challenging cases instead of simply referring them. Want to learn ultrasound or how to do epidurals? Our tech team does that!
Certifications: Rehabilitation (CCRP and CCRT), pain management (IVAPM), and Cat Friendly Gold Practice. We currently are not seeing patients for rehabilitation.
