As a Massage Therapist, your role plays a crucial role in providing exceptional spa experiences to our guests. They are responsible for delivering a variety of massage and body treatment services that promote relaxation, wellness, and rejuvenation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (and other duties as assigned)
Massage Services:
Perform a range of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, aromatherapy, and other specialty massages, to meet the unique needs and preferences of guests.
Body Treatments:
Administer body treatments such as scrubs, wraps, and hydrotherapy, following established protocols and ensuring the highest quality of service.
Consultation:
Conduct thorough consultations with guests to understand their specific needs, preferences, and any medical conditions that may affect the treatment.
Client Comfort:
Ensure clients are comfortable throughout their spa experience by maintaining appropriate draping, temperature control, and using ergonomic techniques.
Hygiene and Sanitation:
Maintain a clean and hygienic workspace, including sterilizing equipment and changing linens between clients.
Product Knowledge:
Stay informed about spa products and services, including retail offerings, and provide recommendations to guests as appropriate.
Customer Service:
Create a welcoming and personalized experience for each guest, addressing any concerns or special requests promptly and professionally.
Retail Sales:
Promote and sell spa products and retail items, enhancing the guest experience and contributing to revenue goals.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of treatments performed, client preferences, and any contraindications or special considerations.
Teamwork:
Collaborate effectively with other spa team members, including estheticians, nail technicians, and front desk staff, to ensure a seamless and exceptional guest experience.
Training:
Attend training sessions and workshops to continually enhance your skills and knowledge in the field of massage therapy.
Compliance:
Adhere to all spa policies and procedures, as well as local and state regulations regarding massage therapy and sanitation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid state or local license/certification as a Massage Therapist.
- Strong knowledge of various massage techniques and body treatments.
