Senior Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) Lead Analyst Job Category : OperationsRequisition Number : SENIO002734Posted : January 8, 2025Employment Type : Full-TimeLocation Danbury, CT 06810, USADescription Position Overview (Summary / Objective) : The Senior EH&S Analyst will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, management, and evaluation of comprehensive environmental, health, and safety (EH&S) programs across all ARKA facilities. This role ensures that all locations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, while fostering a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.Responsibilities : Develop, implement, and manage environmental compliance programs while identifying and developing solutions to include financial impacts to business stakeholders to ensure operations run consistently.Provide strategic vision and leadership as the Environmental Specialist ensuring compliance and sustainability.Partner with local management and leadership to certify all applicable permits, policies, procedures, and regulations are compliant while staying up to date on relevant regulations.Establish and maintain effective cross-functional relationships at all levels throughout the organization.Respond to and investigate environmental incidents such as spills, releases, non-compliances, and complaints.Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to prevent accidents and injuries. Conduct EHS Internal Audits and prepare reports for area arrangement.Drive continuous improvement in the safety culture while working towards exceeding site-specific safety goals.Maintain and analyze safety records and data to identify trends and areas for improvement.Develop and deliver EH&S training to employees as required.Travel between facilities may be required, up to 25%.Basic Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field.Knowledge of current environmental, health, and safety regulations.Experience in designing and delivering safety training programs and sessions.Strong prioritization and organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining a high degree of flexibility.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to lead and resolve daily issues.Ability to communicate and present clear, concise objectives to all levels of the organization while identifying and sharing risks and opportunities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Well versed in Microsoft Office products, advanced Excel skills required.Certifications such as OSHA 30 and Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) are preferred; professional certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., CSP, CIH, NEBOSH) highly desirable.What We Offer : Company contributions to qualified HSA accounts.401k retirement plan with industry-leading company contributions.3 weeks of vacation accrual per year plus time off for sick leave and unscheduled life events.13 paid holidays.Continuing education benefit for approved programs.Annual bonus program based on company and employee performance.Company paid life insurance, AD&D, Short-Term and Long-Term disability insurance.4 weeks paid Parental Leave.Employee assistance program (EAP).ITC & Security Clearance Requirements : This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.Visa Restrictions : No visa sponsorship is available for this position.Employment with any ARKA companies in the U.S. is contingent upon satisfactory completion of several pre-employment requirements to include a credit check, background check, and drug screen.ARKA is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer.
