Our goal at Arka Motel is to provide the perfect atmosphere for relaxation and adventure for guests at our boutique motel overlooking Beaver Lake in Rogers, Arkansas. Our mid-century modern property, newly remodeled in 2024 and featured on HGTV's Fixer to Fabulous, offers a fresh, and inviting atmosphere just 1 mile from Prairie Creek Marina and 5 minutes from Downtown Rogers.
Job Overview
As a Guest Service Agent at Arka Motel, you’ll be the first point of contact for all guests. The ideal candidate should be friendly, welcoming, patient, helpful, and knowledgeable about our policies, offerings, and amenities to ensure guests enjoy their stay with us. In addition to providing excellent customer service, you will help with administrative tasks at the front desk to ensure operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage online reservations, cancellations, and room assignments using our property management software, CloudBeds
- Greet guests upon arrival and check them into their rooms efficiently as needed
- Answer phone calls and inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist guests with requests and provide information about hotel services and amenities as well as local recommendations
- Handle guest check-outs and process payments accurately as needed
- Resolve guest complaints or issues promptly and escalate when necessary
- Work with housekeeping to check if rooms are ready, and managing additional drop offs of items such as extra towels as required
- Work with maintenance staff to deal with issues within rooms and common areas as they arise
- Manage shared areas such as the pool, firepits and lobby, including managing Arka Motel merchandise
- Maintain a neat and organized lobby and front desk area
Requirements / Skills:
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Familiarity with motel operations and guest services
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Previous experience in hotel management or hospitality industry
- Understanding of how travel planning websites operate, like Expedia and TripAdvisor
- Experience with hotel reservations software, like Cloudbeds
- Knowledge of guest relations practices
